#2 Things I Love About Malta: The Sea

One of the first things that made me fell in love with Malta even before setting foot on the island were the beautiful blue shades of the mediterranean sea. All of the pictures on this post were taken by me - actually they are from our yesterday's walk - but believe me, before coming here I've seen a lot of pictures from the mediterranean sea like these.

These pictures are all from the Sliema promenade which is very close to our home. Oh it feels good to go for a walk with this view. I would say go for a run, but I'm definitely not one of those running individuals - as you can assume from my pictures I'm more a pastizzi girl (I will show you soon what pastizzis are and what you are missing).
I would also say how great it is to jump into the water but we are in the middle of march and the water is still cold. Besides, this winter has been crazily cold as f*** which for me, as a Portuguese who lived in a really cold village during winter should be nothing. It is! God, I'm freezing here, it's like I already forgot those days back in Portugal with four duvets on our bed.
So, someone told me that the water gets warmer in May - forgive me if I'm wrong - which is just in time for my birthday woop-woop.

Doesn't it make you wanna jump in the water?
Because if just for a second I forgot about how could it was yesterday when I took these pictures - and imagined the summer temperatures - it would definitely convince me to go for a swim.
Malta is a tiny island, so the good thing is that basically, no matter where you go you're always surrounded by the beautiful mediterranean sea. Since we just arrived here in the end of October (the start of winter) and the warmer days haven't arrived yet, we are still waiting to visit Gozo and Comino islands.
If you do a quick search, you will probably end up feeling the need to also come to Malta. Those are the ones that left me dreaming of summer days. Don't worry, I will also take a lot of pictures to make you jealous hahah.

Have you ever been to Malta?
