Is it too late to wish you guys a Happy New Year?

My last post was in last December and since then a lot of things happened.

I needed to take a break for myself and for everything that was going on in our lives. If you follow me on instagram and watch insta stories, probably you noticed a few things.

Since the last post, we moved in to a new apartment, to a different neighborhood. In the beginning we had a few problems with some appliances, then when everything was solved we had a little problem with some not so nice neighbors, concerning Oreo. One day I will tell you more about how hard it is to own a pet here while renting apartments. 

In the meantime I was teaching Portuguese to one private student and intensively applying to jobs, doing the required tests, going to job interviews like crazy and not getting a job because I was not a native english speaker. It got to a point where it was very frustrating, going to these interviews - thinking that the job would me mine - and then hear that they really liked me, my cv was good but they ended up choosing a native speaker.

So I was going to a few nice places, taking pictures thinking about the blog and all the new posts I could write, but somehow, I just didn't got the energy to do it because in the back of my mind I was frustrated with everything going on with my job search. At the same time, there were a few problems in my family, complicated things and it's not easy to help when you're on the opposite side of the world. Somehow we managed to help and everything is getting 'fixed' and getting better. 

Fortunately, after almost four months this changed and I GOT A JOB! Yeii! Let's celebrate!

Curiously, now that I have less time available to blog is exactly when I want to do it more. I am very happy and excited to finally do something different (I have never done this job before), to learn a lot and to grow as a professional and built a career in this specific sector. Unfortunately I can't tell you much about my job due to the non disclosure agreement that I signed.

Prepare yourselves because I'm coming back with a lot of pictures - most of them about food and the restaurantes we've been visiting - and of course, about the beautiful island of Malta.
